Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper soaring above a popular southern California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on the internet depict the aircraft beginning to twirl above the beach then falling towards the border of the coast, where it gets stuck among palms and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five people were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
