New England equaled their longest winning run from the Tom Brady era as they defeated AFC East opponents the Jets 27-14 in the NFL

Rookie Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the Patriots secured an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since legendary quarterback Tom Brady's final season with the franchise in 2019

Quarterback Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

The win extends the Patriots lead at the summit of the division as they advanced to a 9-2 record, with the Jets at the foot after dropping to two wins and eight losses

The visitors had gone in front at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Justin Fields running in a short rushing score to conclude the New York's initial series

But the Patriots fought back in the second quarter as Henderson scored two short rushing scores before the running back hauled in a throw from Drake Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third quarter to push the score to 21 to 7

"It was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," Maye commented on Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."

Fields connected with John Metchie toward the end of the third period to reduce the lead for the visitors but Borregales booted a two kicks in the final period as the Patriots sealed the victory
